Mossville Engine Center: Mossville, Illinois, USA
Since 1974, the Mossville Engine Center has expanded into a 20 acre campus right outside of the Peoria, Illinois, headquarters for Caterpillar. Building BB, the main center for power systems manufacturing, now encompasses 1.2 million square feet (111,000 square metres). The Mossville plant is responsible for the manufacture, assembly and testing of the C12, C12 ACERT and C15 ACERT engines. Additionally, the C18 and C18 ACERT engines are manufactured in the Mossville plant, and then shipped to the Greenville Marine Center of Excellence for final production.
